Our first Christmas!

So this year will be mine and Jacob's first Christmas together. So naturally, we didn't have any decorations yet to make our house all "christmasy" so we had to get a tree and other things but I think our place looks pretty darn cute (: I absolutely love Christmas time, my favorite time of year by far. Luckily Jake and I get to fly home for christmas this year to stay with our families, which will be a nice little break away from the business of school and work that we've been doing lately. Here's my first Thanksgiving turkey too! It was glazed with a honey spice glaze and was super yummy! I even got the approval of the hubby who usually doesn't like turkey (:

All moved in!

Well it's offical, we're all moved in to our own place. It's small but definitely a perfect size for just the two of us, and we're loving being on our own and starting our life together. We have about 3 weeks until school starts to relax, and for Jake to find a job before the business of life kicks in. For the past 4 days we've been furniture shopping and organizing the whole place so I finally took some pictures of our finished product. Our new home (:

Lake Mowich

About a week ago Jake and I attempted to go up to Lake Mowich...little did we know that they now charge a dang fee to go up there. So we pretty much drove 30ish miles each way to sit and eat for 10 min...haha. There was surprisingly a lot of snow up there still since this summer hasn't been very warm until now. I will admit it was very pretty up there, aside from all of the bees that kept attacking me :( Jake made friends with a bird up there who kept landing on his hand in exchange for some chips. Shaved head for summer (:

Today I shaved my husbands head with our new home haircut system we got to save money on haircuts while at school. I think he looks so cute with his new shave! I used the shortest length that the kit came with and I love it. He looks so handsome (: I recommend this kit to anyone else who wants to cut their spouses hair at home.
